"WHAT IS TENNESSEE ONLINE TRAFFIC SCHOOL?
Traffic school in Franklin Tennessee can be completed online in the comfort of your home. If you need to take defensive driving for an Franklin Tennessee traffic ticket sign up for Driving University online, pay online, do the course online. Defensive driving school for traffic tickets, insurance discounts or for new drivers is simple and convenient at Driving University. The Franklin Tennessee defensive driving school is self paced and some drivers will start and finish the course in one sitting or some log in and out as their schedule allows them to. "

To me this sounds too easy.  Take some quizes online, you're done.  The fact that I can not find any other information about this site via Google tells me they are either new, or not endorced.  Other facts as they support all Counties and States, I just can't see certain coruts (*cough* the 'boro) allowing online driving school.  And another fact that they seem to be using the same Template for Counties and Cities makes it seem fishy.

Yeah, I'm paranoid about anything like this.

What do you guys think?  I briefly had a thought to do this, but came to my senses.  I wonder how many others they trick.

I was assigned a driving school by the court; I gave them a call and asked if they knew anything about an online course or drivinguniversity.com.  The woman replied that it might be legal in some states, but that Tennessee did not nor had it ever had an online  testing program.

I'd imagine if it was legit, the court would have offered it to me straight up.

I think sitting thru the boring class is the punishment they're after, however.

Hey, I've learned lots of little tid bits from the dozen+ (yeah, more then 12!) I've sat through.  Little things that really help, like the new way of properly aligning your mirrors (I was using the old-school way my father taught me).  The new way pretty much eliminates blind spots, and just last week I almost changed lanes into someone - but saw them in the mirror with the new angle.  Perfect!

If you are in Franklin, make sure to lookup the Factory of Franklin's training course.  You get free drinks, free food and snacks, AND it's one of the only National Certified courses, meaning it's accepted in any state/county (i.e. you got a ticket in FL, and live near Franklin).

Eric- you're completely right.  There are a lot of misleading online defensive driving on traffic school programs out there.  These companies offer all states and all counties, when in reality there are only 20 or so states that will actually allow online defensive driving.  When a customer calls to complain, these companies offer no refund and refer to very small print hiddne in their site use policy.  Scammers...

My school, www.DefensiveDrivinginNewJersey.com is only approved for use in New Jersey right now, but as I look at other states and competitors, it makes me feel like their business practices may taint the online delivery or defensive driving / traffic school altogether!

It is nice to hear from a real person of these online traffic schools.  It eases my mind that there are some legit schools out there, and I will make of it (if I am ever in Jersey, currently in NYC - oh, so close!).

Thank you for taking the time to respond to the question of rather these were legit.  It would appear the scammers are in full swing in your industry, so I would suggest brokering a deal with NJ to provide a list of actual "certified" online driving schools, and have you listed.  Start by going to your city counsil (for local), and then into the governor office.
